Ragi Dosa & Raisins Chutney | Healthy Breakfast | Recipe with Ragi/Finger millet




When coming to breakfast one has to intake  good & healthy of it to  start a day.I usually replace white rice with other cereals ,you can see variety of dosa like that in my blog,pearlmillet,horse gram,oats,thinnai.Do try to replace white rice with some other gluten free,less fat one.Coming to this recipe quite easy to make,if u prefer u can use without fermentation also,here I have used fermentated one.Raisins as you know has more health benfits,my kids if u add it in any food they would take out,but in this chutney/dip method they like it most,try to give children raisins.I  learnt that it prevent cancer cell formation,so use it.




Ingredients:

For dosa:

  • Ragi/finger millet- 1 cup
  • Par boiled rice- 1\2 cup
  • Urad dal- 1\3 cup
  • Salt




Method:

1.Soak ragi,rice and dal together for  3hours.

2.Grind it to a fine liquid in mixer/grinder(I mostly use mixer).

3.Add salt to it and let it to ferment for about 6-8 hrs.

4.To make dosai,heat tawa,take aa ladle of batter and spread on the tawa,drizzle gingelly oil around it,when cooked on one side,flip to other side &cook.

Raisins chutney

Ingredients:

Raisins- 1\3 cup
Red chilli- 5 -7(acc. to ur spice level)
Channa dal- 1 tsp
Grated coconut- 2 tbsp.
Garlic pods- 3
Salt- to taste
Oil- 1 tsp




Method:


1.Heat a pan with 1\2 tsp oil,saute raisins for 15 sec & remove it.

2.In the pan add oil,roast channa dal,red chilli for some time,then add grated coconut and sauté again.

3.Cool it,and grind everything with garlic & salt,if needed just sprinkle some water in ur mixer.

Transfer it & enjoy with your dosai.





Note:

1.For non fermentad method,soak ragi ,rice& dal in night and grind it in morning with some ginger,pepper & jeera seeds with it.Mix salt and make dosa as usual.
