Homemade Chewy Choco chips Granola Bars

These bars are chewy, healthy and addictive too. When i just looked up my blog i see that it had been a long time since i posted a baked recipe,to say the truth even my oven may  cry for not using it since December. So i decided to bake a easy granola bar which makes a good food when you plan to diet.,It very easy too.Do try this.

Ingredients:
  • Oats- 2 cup( i used quaker oats)
  • Dry fruits & nuts- 2 cups approx ( i used black raisins,pine nuts,pitted dates,badam,walnut,pistachio)
  • Flax seeds powder-2 tsp
  • Honey/maple syrup-1\2 cup( adjust)
  • oil-2 tsp( optional)
  • Vanilla essence-1 tsp
  • choco chips-1\4 cup
  • cinnamon powder-1\4 tsp

 Method:

1. Dry roast the oats well, switch off

2.In a mixer add pitted dates and all nuts, just blends to get it all together. Add this nuts mix to the roasted oats.mix well.

3.Add in essence, cinnamon powder, flax meal powder and mix well. Then add choc chips and toss well.

4.Slowly add honey/maple syrup t so that everything  comes together. You can increase/decrease the honey level.Lastly add oil just for coating purpose.

5.Transfer it to a lined baking tray and press it well with the back of a ladle.Bake it in a pre heated oven for 12-15 mins till it browns a bit at 180 deg C.

Slice it and cool well.

Serve as snack.

Note:

1.You can use nuts and dry fruits of your choice.
