Ginger candy | Inji Mittai | Inji Murappa Recipe


This candy one can find in almost all bus depot in Tamilnadu and in railway station.This helps in digestion after a heavy meal.Some people have vomiting felling while travelling in buses and this mittai prevent it.My brother asked to make this for him and i made.I followed the recipe from here




Preparation time:10 mins
cooking time:under 30 mins

Ingredients:


  • Ginger-100 gms
  • Sugar-1\3 cup
  • maida/Apf-1 tsp




Method:

1.Grate the skin of the ginger,clean in water well and chop into pieces.In a mixer add little water and grind the ginger in to paste.Filter the ginger juice.to the fibre add again water and pulse for while.Extract juice and keep it in bowl for some time.Discard the fibre.




2.Pour the clear juice in to a pan and discard the white sediment.Add in sugar and mix well.Keep in flame and keep stirring it in reaches little thick (2 string).add a tsp  of flour and mix well without any lumps.

3.Once it leaves the sides of the pan ,pour it in to greased plate.Draw lines with knife when still hot.When it is cooled well remove the pieces.
