Homemade Rice Ada | Kitchen Basics


Gone are the days when I search shops for this ada to make payasam. After coming to this blogging world I have learned that it can be very easily made at home. Without much writing, let's go off to it.

Ingredients:

  • Raw rice-1\2 cup
  • Salt
  • Banana leaves

 Method:

1.Soak rice in water for 2 hours.Drain the water and grind to a fine paste with salt and little water.The batter should not be too thick or too runny.

2.In a banana leaves smear some oil and pour a ladle of batter and spread.Roll the leaves and steam it in idli cooker/pan for 3-5 mins.

3.Remove it form the leaves and make small pieces of it.Do the same for all batter.

4.Your rice ada is ready to go in to payasam/kheer.




Note:

1.If you want to use it for a long time then dry it in sun.

2.If u are not able to roll the leaf with batter then just steam it without folding.
