Cinnamon Swirl Brioche - Eggless | Eggless Baking Challenge


For February month gayathiri suggested to make this cinnamon swirl brioche which is a french bread loaded with eggs.For egg replacement i used curd/plain yogurt.For breakfast we made french toast with it,its was really yummy with the added cinnamon punch.



Preparation time: under 30 mins
Baking time:30 mins
Resting time: 1 hrs or more

Ingredients:


  • Flour-1 n 1\2 cup
  • wheat flour-1\2 cup
  • Instant yeast-3\4 tbsp
  • curd/yogurt-1\2 cup
  • olive oil-1\3 cup
  • honey- 1 tbsp
  • warn milk-1\3 cup
  • baking soda-2 tsp


For filling:


  • Caster sugar-1\2 cup
  • cinnamon powder-3 tsp


Method:

1.In a bowl mix oil,honey and warm milk.Add baking soda to the curd and mix it will becomes forthy.



2.In a mixing bowl add  both flour and instant yeast.Add oil mixture and curd to it and need to a soft dough.



3.Cover and wait for it to double.Meanwhile prepare the filling in a bowl.

4.After it has doubled,punch out air and roll in form of a rectangle.Spread the filling on it and close it to form a log.Cut it in to two parts and make a swirl pattern with it.



5.Keep it in a oiled loaf pan for it to double again and bake it in a preheated oven for 30 mins at 180 deg C or till done.



Cool it on wire rack and slice it.






Note:

1.Baking time may vary from oven to oven.
