Eggless Tiramisu- Alcohol free


Tiramisu means  " lift me up " or "pick me up" is an Italian dessert.Its made with ladysfinger(Italian: Savoiardi) dipped in coffee and layered with mascarpone cheese and flavoured with wine.This can be made in any form pudding,cake and other dessert.I deceided to make it in my wine cup.Got the recipe from here.This dessert should be served chilled.





Ingredients:

  • Egg less sponge cake
  • 4 tsp. of Vanilla custard powder
  • 1 1\2  cup of Milk
  • 6 tsp. of sugar
  • 1 tbsp. of Instant coffee powder
  • 4 tbsp.  of hung curd
  • 3 tbsp. of Whipped cream


Method:

1.Mix custard powder in a little cold milk.Heat the remaining milk. add the custard mix ,it will begin to thicken,switch off.

2.Add sugar ,mix it and allow to cool.

3.Heat a cup of water add instant coffee powder to it and mix.Allow to cool.

4.Add the hung curd and whipped cream to the custard mix and mix it well.

5.In the wine glass(what I used) first arrange the sponge cake pieces,pour some coffee decoction on it.Spread a layer of prepared custard  mixture.then place the sponge cake and repeat the same process.

6.sprinkle some instant coffee powder or cocoa powder on top of it.Keep it refrigerated  for at least a hour.

Serve it chilled.


I added chocolate vermicelli on once top and instant coffee powder on the other.
