Garlic Buns | Eggless Baking

Garlic bun

As i have mentioned earlier i love to bake more,i never thought one day i would try a bun/bread at home and it will come success.First i thank God almighty for giving me the courage& wisdom to do so,secondly i thank all co-bloggers post about it,their step by step procedure, tips all helped me.

Also for this month egg less baking challenge,Gayathiri has announced to bake dinner rolls, first i thought how i am going to do it,baking a bread.bun would be a disaster. Then decided first lets try a bun and then confidently try other dinner rolls.Coming to the recipe i tried this from Raks Kitchen and the result was absolutely wonderful. When i checked for the yeast ,water become forthy then i was little confident that the buns would come good.

Ingredients:

  • Maida- 1 & 1\2 cup
  • Yeast 3\4 tsp
  • Sugar- 1 tbsp
  • Salt-1\2 tsp
  • Water- as needed
  • Olive oil- 1 tbsp

For Spread
  • Garlic  finely chopped
  • Butter
  • chopped coriander

Method:

1.In a warm water add yeast, sugar & salt and keep it undisturbed for some time, bubbles will be formed.

2.Take the flour ina bowl make a dent at centre add the yeast mixture, olive oil & water as needed to make a soft pilable dough.

3.Cover the dough with wet cloth/cling wrap for it to raise.

4.In about 1\2 or one hour it would have double in size, knead again to make it smooth.

5.Divide into size equal parts and arrange in a baking tray.

6.Make a slit on top to place the garlic spread.
7.Keep aside to double again, meanwhile prepare the filling.

8.Mix chopped garlic&cilantro with butter.

9.Pre heat the oven and fill the slit with the spread.

10.Bake it for 25-25 mins untill you get golden brown color.

11.Yummy garlic bun is ready.
