Mint-Coriander Chutney-version 2


Today i came with a simple chutney. As i have  already  posted one mint coriander chutney this is my second version.I have added onion & tomato into it.Give a try, it was very tasty can be had with rice,idli,dosa.etc.



Ingredients:

Mint - 1 bunch
Coriander/cilantro- 1\2 bunch
Onion-1
Tomato-1
Red chillies- 2 (Acc to ur spice level)
Garlic pods-2
Salt to taste
Urad dal- 2 tsp
Oil to saute

To temper:

Oil
Mustard
Urad dal


Method:

1.Clean the mint leaves well.cut coriander leaves and wash it too.

2.In a pan add oil,saute urad dal and red chilli,be careful don't burn it.Remove it &cool.

3.In the same pan add cut onion & tomato,garlic pods and saute,then add mint& coriander leaves and saute till raw smell goes.

4.Allow it to cool and grind to a fine paste with roasted urad dal& red chilli,salt.
No need to add water.

5.Temper with mustard& urad dal.


It can be mixed with rice too.Can be stored in fridge will stay fresh for a week.

Note:

1.You can squeeze little lemon juice after grinding to retain colour.I din't add it.
