Tomato- Onion chutney



Simple , easy and quite onion tomato chutney that goes well with dosa, idli, adai, paniyaram and even chapathi. Each one has their own version of making it.It quite simple just sauteeing and grinding it finely. You can use any dal variety like urad dal, channa dal or toor dal.

Ingredients:

1.tomato- 4
2.onions-3(not big)
3.red chilli-3
4.urad dal- 2tsp
5.garlic pods-2
6.curry leaf-little.(optional)
7.oil- 1 tsp
8.Salt to taste.

Method:

1.wash and cut onions & tomato.

2.In a pan add 1tsp oil, urad dal & chilly and roast for a while and remove from oil.

3.In the same pan add onion& tomato and saute for some time.add garlic too.then remove from heat.



4.After everything is cool put all the ingredients inside a blender, add salt & garlic.Run the mixie for 1 or 2 min and transfer. Your chutney is ready.




Serve for idli/dosa.
